Some Republicans need to take their meds

10 Jul

One definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome.

If that’s true, then the Republicans in the US House are batshit loony.

For the 33rd time, they will vote to try to kill Obamacare tomorrow.

Won’t happen.
Bring in the guys in the white coats.

First, if it passed, it would never make it through the Democrat controlled Senate.

UPDATE: The Republican-controlled House voted 244 to 185 today to fully repeal the health care reform law. Still won’t make it through the Senate.

On top of that, some Republicans are thinking that voting on it (again) will make them seem out of touch.

A little late for that, don’t you think?

One might notice Republicans haven’t been hogging the news about this latest attempt.

A sure sign they’re just going through the motions.

Some politicians, facing re-election in ObamaCare-friendly districts, are openly suggesting that parts of it should stay.

To top it off, the Republican leadership hasn’t bothered to say what the party would replace the health care law with.

So why bother?

For Republicans in conservative districts — which are a majority of Republicans in the House — the vote is an easy way to prove to their voters that they’re still in there pitching.

The problem is – the game’s over and everyone has gone home.
