Your choice may not count

Do you think your vote for President counts?

Not really.

If you need a refresher on the Electoral College, click here.

In a nutshell, Electoral College members are supposed to take the winner of the popular vote in a state and then cast their ballots for that person.

Whomever gets 270 or more electoral votes gets the job.

Nothing in life except death and taxes is certain.

At least three Republican electors say they may not support their party’s presidential ticket when the Electoral College meets in December to formally elect the new president.

You can imagine how upset that makes some Republicans.

The electors – all supporters of Ron Paul – say they looking at their options should Mitt Romney win in their state.

They are frustration at how Republican leaders have tried to suppress Paul’s conservative movement.

How about that? Wonder why some people don’t bother to vote?
