Abercrombie picks – who?

26 Dec

Brian-Schatz04-sizedGovernor Neil Abercrombie, always his own man, picked current Lt. Governor Brian Schatz to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by the passing of Senator Dan Inouye.

In a release from his office, no mention was made of Inouye’s “final wish” that Colleen Hanabusa be appointed to his seat.

We didn’t think Abercrombie would ignore what Inouye wanted, but we’re not surprised.

Schatz will be sworn into office tomorrow in Washington making him the “Senior Senator” from Hawaii.

This is will have interesting ramifications, which we’ll discuss later.

just came across your blog; i’m cynical and have little hope for change but it’s good that someone’s at least pointing out the craziness that’s going on; best wishes for reaching a lot of readers.

thanks for posting these observations; just recently found your website and hope to read it on a regular basis. unfortunately, i’m cynical and think there’s little hope of changing things but at the very least, the craziness of things should be made public for all to see.

      Welcome aboard.
We’re cynical too. Even when the stupid and crazy ones get caught and go to jail, there always seems to be another crazy or dumb one ready to take their place.
Through our years in media and politics, we’ve learned a certain type of person is attacted to that business. Something we’ve covered in depth many times.
The ultimate problem is the voter keeps putting them back in office.
