A tale of two Palin stories

28 Jan

Winky-Sarah-Palin-sizedSarah Palin and Fox News are no longer together.

Everything after that depends on who you want to believe.

Palin, the former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee and conservative darling has left the building.

Depending on who’s talking – Fox News didn’t renew her contract or she turned down their offer.

Fox just issues the usual public relations baloney, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

In the real world that usually means someone was fired.

We do know that as of last week, she was negotiating with the network for a new contract.

Her old one was worth somewhere around $1 million a year.

They even built a small studio in her home so she could step from the bedroom to TV land.

Then there’s Real Clear Politics, a well-known political Web site, saying Palin made the decision not to renew with Fox, but “will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

Palin has complained before on her Facebook page about Fox News cancelling some of her appearances during the Republican National Convention.

Who’s right?

Who knows, and really, who cares?

Palin is no longer a force in politics and that may be the real reason.
